Meet Founder Terenika Nelson

Born and raised in Milwaukee and now based in Houston since 2011, I've spent more than nine years as a legal professional and certified paralegal. I've seen the system from both sides - supporting attorneys behind the scenes and standing in court myself as a scared parent in a custody battle. Those experiences, along with my early love for debate and law, showed me how much our legal support system needs to change. Early-career lawyers need better, smarter ways to connect with the right clients. Everyday people need clear, affordable access to real legal help before it's too late. Up Suit was created to meet both needs - offering a streamlined, trustworthy way for civilians and attorneys to find each other and work together more effectively.
